Pennsylvania – Eric Frein has been found guilty of killing a Pennsylvania state trooper and wounding another in a 2014 ambush on a police barracks in the Poconos.
Frein was convicted on all 12 counts, including first-degree murder and terrorism. He was convicted of killing Cpl. Bryon Dickson and injuring Trooper Alex T. Douglass in an ambush attack he had been planning for months.
The defense says that they expected the guilty verdict, and now they’re focusing on the sentencing part of the trial.
Frein could either receive a sentence of life in prison or the death penalty. That part of the trial will begin today.
