DuBois, PA – Come celebrate Earth Day at Penn State DuBois! The annual Earth Day Celebration for the DuBois campus is now in its fourth year, and it’s grown bigger and better than ever.

Come learn more about the environment and our world in the Penn State DuBois gymnasium today from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
All the activities are free and open to anyone. There will also be some light refreshments, games and prizes.

More than 20 different organizations will be there, and educational workshops will cover hands-on topics like how to build a butterfly garden, how to save money by switching the kinds of lightbulbs you use, and how to create natural compost for your garden.

Students from Penn State DuBois will also be there, explaining how they personally have worked on projects that help the environment, such as creating solar ovens or traveling to one of the poorest counties in the nation to rebuild infrastructure there in a sustainable way.
