WOMAN KILLED AND FIVE OTHERS INJURED IN ARMSTRONG COUNTY CRASH

Armstrong County, PA – A three-vehicle crash in Armstrong County killed one person and left five others with injuries.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on State Route 422 in Plumcreek Township. A Ford Mustang was attempting to make a left turn when it was hit from behind by a Jeep Commander. The force of the impact caused the Mustang to crash into another vehicle.
 
A female passenger in the Mustang was taken to the hospital but later died from her injuries.
 
The driver of the Mustang was ejected from the car and had to be flown to UPMC Presbyterian with serious injuries.
 
Two people in the Jeep were also flown to UPMC Presbyterian with unknown injuries.
 
The two people in the third car were treated for minor injuries.
 
Police are not releasing the names of anyone involved in the crash at this time.
